Dear guest, I welcome you to the BLET Division 375 website. I hope this will be a valued communication tool within our great Division as well as a comprehensive resource for information on our union and company. I thank the membership for approving the necessary funding for this site, and I will personally work with those involved to maintain it to the best of our abilities. Much work has been done to make this site easy to use, and a place where you may turn to get reliable answers to your questions. It is far from complete as we still have plenty of content to add in the future. The buttons in the left frame [the vertical gold area below the BLET logo] of your browser window, and the text links at the bottom of every page, will take you to the different sections and subsections of this site in a few easy clicks. Note that the buttons and links are context sensitive & will change as you navigate throughout the site. The text that is blue & underlined are links to other pages, other sites, and such. If it’s blue & underlined, you can click on it. Briefly highlighting the different sections of this website below will guide you in your browsing experience on this website: Agreements: Here you’ll find agreements (contracts) for engineers, conductors, and engineer trainees. The BLET & IBT constitutions & bylaws are also in this section as well as the decision tables for the Danville District. We’re working to digitize many “side letters” and “letters of understanding or clarification” to the agreements as well as any information that effects us locally. BLET Member Log In (to Member’s Section): A secured, private section of the site available only to BLET Division 375 members. This section contains the minutes from our monthly meetings, results of claims conferences, information on union & company discount programs and other information & resources available exclusively to our membership. Contact Us: Is a listing of union officers with contact information & a way to contact the webmaster of this site. Dues & Payroll: Provides instructions on how Division 375 handles your declined claims, a breakdown of Division 375’s dues structure, the amount of dues paid by each Division 375 member, contact information for NS Payroll, NS payroll cycle & deductions chart and a listing of Paid Holidays on NS. Forms, Guides & Charts: is an extensive listing of forms, guides, charts, and other useful information frequently requested by BLE&T members. Check this page if you need a form, it’s probably here. History: A brief history of the BLE&T and the Danville District of Norfolk Southern and Spencer Yard. Insurance and Health: Provides information on AFLAC, BLE&T Disability Insurance, The “Danville District’s Co-Worker run “Help Line Association,” Job Protection Insurance (fired insurance / Hit & run / Whammy,) and Insurance provided by NS via contractual agreements. Meeting Information: Provides general information about the BLE&T Division 375 monthly meetings, including maps and directions to the meeting location. Monthly meetings of BLET Division 375 are generally held the SECOND Monday of each month at Ryan’s in Salisbury, NC. News: An exhaustive listing of current & archived news articles, press releases & relevant information accumulated since this website was created in August 2004. Search by article date or headline / title NS Resources: Includes assignment matrix, (detailed job listings,) help accessing the NS Employee Resource Center website, maps, personal auto mileage chart, phone numbers, signal lists, track charts, & more. RR Retirement: Gives a brief overview of benefits available to railroad employees via the US Railroad Retirement Board & provides contact information for local and national offices of the RRB. Site Map: Shows how all the pages of the website are laid out in an easy to read “tree” format. Consider it your road map to navigating this website. What’s New: A running list of every update to this site is maintained here. Some documents on this site require Adobe Reader Version 5.0 or higher to be installed on your computer. If you do not have Adobe Reader (formerly known as Adobe Acrobat Reader,) there are links on most pages that will take you to a website where you may download & install the small program on your PC for free. The reason for the use of this type of file is that it allows a document to be preserved in its original published form, prints correctly, and offers advanced viewing & searching options. Wherever you see an icon like this Our work on this site is far from over. We will be adding resources and information constantly as time permits.
